Golden Horseshoe of Lviv Oblast
“Golden horseshoe of Lviv region” is a popular tourist route through the most famous castles of Lviv region. It got the name “Golden Horseshoe” because of the location of the castles in an arc that looks like a horseshoe. The route, as a rule, includes Oleskyi, Pidhorodetskyi, Zolochivskyi. The complex, which includes the ancient Russian settlement of Plisnetsk together with monastery buildings, a castle in Pidhirtsy with a church, an inn, a park and a brewery of the 18th century. have no analogues in Ukraine.
The final stop is Zolochiv. The city of Western Ukraine is extremely rich in sights, the decoration of which is the Zolochiv Castle (1634) with a Chinese palace (one of the three in Europe). Of great interest are the mysterious stones of the Templars with two crowns, which grant mysterious wishes.
